Hopefully everyone is settled in and staying warm on this wintry day. It has
been about a week since we held our SW Division Winter Outing, and I wanted to
share a brief report from the event.
Attendees began arriving a little before 6:00 PM on Friday, January 16th. As
everyone trickled in and got settled, there was great fellowship and plenty of
time to catch up with friends we hadn’t seen in quite a while. Because the
projects required time and craftsmanship, we started working on them earlier on
Friday evening.
Friday night, we were blessed with a great devotion from Phil Steinbach.
Following that, Maxwell Buck shared about his FCF kit and the historical time
period he represents. His presentation sparked a great question-and-answer
session with a lot of valuable information shared. We wrapped up the evening
with fresh-baked brownies made by Weston Bell and ice cream.
Saturday morning started around 7:00 AM, with attendees greeted by delicious
breakfast burritos to kick off the day. We continued working on projects until
lunchtime. Before eating, our Assistant Scout, Weston Bell, delivered a
meaningful devotion. Lunch consisted of a hearty gumbo that had been worked on
all morning.
After lunch, we finished our projects, cleaned up the gym, and wrapped up around
2:00 PM. Ozark Assembly of God was gracious enough to host us once again, and we
are very thankful for their generosity. Throughout the event, we had
approximately 45 attendees, including around 16 Young Bucks.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to Phil Steinbach, Max Buck, Mark Jones,
Dan Rockafellow, Frank Reed, Ryan Reed, Justin Fisher, and everyone else who
helped make this event possible. These events are important, and it truly takes
a team to pull them off successfully.
Thank you all for your continued support. Click on a picture for a
