It was a great day at the SW Divisional Ranger Derby Saturday, March 28th at
Ozark Assembly of God. Thank you to all those that helped run this race and
provide many memories for our Boys and Girls in the SW Division. We had members
from 10 churches involved and participate in this years race. A special thank
you to Mark Jones and the team from Ozark AOG for hosting and providing the
concession stand and to Pastor Bob for bringing a good message, about putting
others first and the love of Jesus, to our young men and women. We had 115 cars
race including 22 LEGO cars. The LEGO parts were loaned to us by Bricks and
Minifigs, Springfield. There were also two displays of Hot Wheel cars that
everyone could vote for the best display. Congratulations to all the volunteers
and racers for a job well done.

Wanted to share a praise report on this event.
Our Church and Pastoral Staff are great support of Royal Rangers at Ozark.
Leading up to the event our concessions were going to go for both BGMC and Light
for the Lost Missions programs of the AG. Our Youth Pastor was in Hawaii for 2
weeks working for Convoy of Hope he was all ready to do concessions when he got
called out. So our Childerns Church Pastor picked up the mantle and 3 days
before the event one of her sons had a appendicitis and was at the hospital for
most of 3 days then a trip back due to complications so she passed the mantle on
to our Youth Pastors wife and youth helper staff and with the help of the youth
they had a great concession for the event.
The night before the event. We started with a good group setting up and had both
tracks up and most of the decorations and tables and chairs early. Then we found
out we had 2 tracks that wouldn't run races.
Two dead tracks the night before the event is major heartburn for the team. At
that time it was time to call in the BIG guns. A plea to Jesus to help us. Soon
one track that had the USB to Serial port issues was resolved by a brother in
Christ that just dropped by to help.
The other track that last year ran perfectly that has hosted thousands of cars
down it. Wouldn't score time.
After the plea for help. One more of our Church Deacons who helps me with
Rangers said what about that West Plains Track...were dead in the water what can
it hurt. We took 10 sets of hands over to the original church basement in a back
room it was there where it landed when they gave it to me to be used for RR
ministry and soon it was in place after I figured out we couldn't salvage parts
from it as they are powered differently. YET I remembered Commander Joe telling
me it had worked fine the last time it was setup. So we quickly removed ole
tried - true and faithful and put in the unknown West Plains Miracle Track. It
ran perfect. Not a glitch praise God.
Ole Tried and True Track was unloaded that night and I discovered a loose wire
in the Supertimer box that was a common Blue wire dangling loose and one of the
push pin connectors was not in place.
Commander Dan did a outstanding job of getting this race together in the middle
of Closing on the Sale of his Business in Springfield and moving for 3 weeks and
made the deadline with many 16 hour days.
We are Blessed and Jesus is Faithful!
