Event really started with a handful going up Thursday and setting up camp. Our
beloved care taker Harold Hawk had the Pow Wow Campground grass cut and the
water and electricity on and working in great shape. Thanks so much Harold!
Mark Jones - Grin - our Company Clerk collected Adult screening forms and
registrations and applications. Ole Timers were $25.00 each and the young bucks
were $10.00 each and the new Applicants paid a one time $30.00 fee.
Ralph Davis - Tall Oak -did a great job as our Chapter President proceeding over
the event and with the great coordination and a dedicated staff the team put on
a wonderful Spring Outing and Frontier Adventure. Craig Kelley - Road Kill- was
our Bourgious (pronounced bushwaah) he and Jackson Bell -Funny Foot- did a great
job getting our FCF Candidates around to all the teaching and evaluations.
District Director John Hicks - Southpaw- worked hard to keep it all fun and on
point. .
Weston Bell - Two Tales- our SW Div. FCF Scout covered for our District Scout
who is waste deep into working his new job as a landscaper. Two Tales did a
really good job keeping our council fires top notch and getting the word out on
event time tables and helping out as good scouts do. As these boys grow into
adult hood the Rangers and the FCF have had a major part in growing them as a
Life Long Servant Leader. This whole thing is about Jesus and our boys and the
fellowship there in. Thanks each of you for giving of your heart to this
ministry.
Several of the members specialize in a trading post type of store. Their
mercantile adds so much to the atmosphere of the event.
All kinds frontiersman skills were taught, exercised and then tested. The
Applicants went through various courses. Trappers Brigade, Flint n Steel, Knife
and Hawk, Camp Safety, Outfits, Shelters and a lot more hands on camp craft
skills that EVERY PERSON should get a chance to do. We just had a great time.
Many campfires around camp with all kinds of cooking and sharing and encouraging
one another. Good stuff happens around these campfires.
Friday and Saturday Council Fire services was kicked off with Maxwell Buck
-Light Hawk- playing and singing and doing a great job barefooted. Then Pastor
James McHaffie -Parson- conducted Council Fire Speaker.
Saturday 5 pm was our graduation ceremony where we welcomed in 9 new members.
Please congratulate them when you see them -Lincoln Wells, Ethan Bledsoe, Ruger
Wright, Noah Williams
Charles J Cullum, John Pruett, Elijah Pruett ,Isaiah Pruett and Alex Graves
Our Competitions for Spring Outing had our Young Bucks earning lots of really
nice prizes. Along with the presentations to the new members many had arm loads
of FCF gear!
Bob Triphahn -Two Forks- held the round robin a favorite time for young and ole
timers to embellish a trading item with a TALL TALES to enhance the trading
event with laughter and fun!
Sunday we had 32 at Sunday School Service. Many of the Buckskin and Ole Timers
were gifted with a Chapter Checker Set that had many of our Members and their
Totems on them. Doug Laut - Hoot- shared and then we visited and broke camp and
headed home.
Humbly Submitted by -Grin-Company Clerk in training!
