May 3rd - 5th, 2024 Southern Missouri District Royal Rangers - Daniel Boone FCF Chapter held a 3 day event at Camp Millhouser. NO RAIN Praise the Lord! In attendance of 53 was 15 applicants 2 ole timers in the brigade for membership and 38 members, 18 of those were Youngbucks.

Special thanks to Rob Batchman, Joshua Pennekamp, Craig Kelley for sharing these pictures with us.  Zip file of all these pictures.  Click on a picture for a larger view.

Event really started with a handful going up Thursday and setting up camp. Our beloved care taker Harold Hawk had the Pow Wow Campground grass cut and the water and electricity on and working in great shape. Thanks so much Harold!

3 days of great weather and it even cooled off a bit on Saturday to make a perfect camping event. We had over 19 churches represented at this event. Thanks to our AG fellowship. The ability to link arms with all the churches in a like minded ministry as we do in Royal Rangers is top notch in building our fellowship.

Ralph Davis - Tall Oak did a great job as our Chapter President proceeding over the event and with the great coordination and a dedicated staff the team put on a wonderful Spring Outing and Frontier Adventure.

It took the whole team from our District Director John Hicks - Southpaw down to our youngest youngbuck - Green Horn to keep this camp focused and promoting character development centered on God written principles.

All kinds frontiersman skills were taught, exercised and then tested. The Applicants went through various courses. Flint n Steel, Knife and Hawk, Camp Safety, Outfits, Shelters and a lot more hands on camp craft skills that EVERY PERSON should get a chance to do. We just had a great time. Many campfires around camp with all kinds of cooking and sharing and encouraging going on. Good stuff happens around these campfires.

Rob Batchman was our Council Fire Speaker and our devotion time was a group gathering of current scouts and former scouts where we all shared a bit about our fondest memory and our most embarrassing memory. Of course we were reminded not to share publicly something we didn't want to be remembered for. Rob did a great job on challenging us to invest our God given talents.

Saturday 5 pm was our graduation ceremony where we welcomed in 15 new members. Please congratulate them when you see them.
