So. Mo. District FCF Daniel Boone Chapter Frontier Adventure Report. 05-19-2017 - 05-21-2017

We had 80 in attendance with 29 applicants.  Weather was wet for the first half of the adventure.  During the big rain and storms we met in the Lunch Area of our Pow Wow campground and enjoyed Jim Wallen and Doug Laut's services.  Both of these men told from their hearts and it was a very good service even inside our hearts were moved  Many of the FCFer's stayed indoors while a few of us stayed and enjoyed what ever will be will be.  We stayed dry despite the 4" rain.

On Saturday morning 8:00 am the rain left us with a perfect over cast day for the rest of our adventure.

We enjoyed the days activities and did a lot of fun FCF stuff.  My group of 14 was staying in 2 marqees with cots and we did just fine in the deluge.  Cooking around the fire was a struggle during the rain and we modified our menus so the cooking was done when it was not pouring.
Cobblers, corn on the cob, bacon and breakfast rolls and hearty steak stew where high lights... that water melon mid day hit the spot.

At 4:30 we had our closing ceremony and we worked to get it all packed up and in the outpost trailer.  On arrival back at the Ranger Annex we laid out all the cotton tents over the table so they would air dry.  A washing of the church van and we all headed home earlier than expected.
Next morning... part of our group left for a Grand Canyon High Adventure Trip.  Woo who Rangers!
