February 19th and 20th, 2010
6 Springfield Section churches participated in the annual Pinewood Derby
Crafting lock-in held at Calvary Temple in Springfield. 56 men and Rangers had a
great time designing, cutting, sanding, and painting cars. Richard Michael kept
everyone's attention and in his outstanding teaching technique taught the
majority of the rangers the design merit. Commander Rob Batchman gave two
inspiring and challenging devotional messages. Commander Norm Kirsch taught the
speed class and showed everyone how to make their car go fast. Everyone got fed
and even a few hours of sleep. God blessed us and we enjoyed it.
