2009 FCF So. Missouri District Frontier Adventure

June-27th- 29th, 2009 So. Mo. District Pow Wow Campground. FCF Village Area

It was a very hot Frontier Adventure. Not only was the temperature but the activities going on. As always with the heat lots of folk will stay home. We had 124 folk turn out for the summer fun and in that number 44 fine new FCF Members. A great feast was prepared up in the Mess hall. We had all kinds of good food and drink and the air-conditioning was a blessing. Thanks Cooks!

Many of the new members sponsors and friends gave gifts at the end of their training. The extra day allowed for some quality camping as the Saturday night thunder and lightning and rain rolled on through bringing a cool night and a perfect Sunday!

Simon Tanner brought forth the morning devotion in his normal flair and reality having every one there, hanging on every word. A great time of fellowship in the Lord.

We were loaded up and ready to go and after the morning service told our friends bye and headed for home. Back at the Ranger Annex we unpacked made sandwiches, laid out the canvas over tables and hung the big tent in the Ranger garage and when the boys were all picked up gassed the van and cleaned the Dutch oven and put it in the oven and oiled it down for another great event. Headed home, showered and went to bed.
