April 3rd, 2009 Talking Rocks Cavern just south and west of Branson, Mo.  Tri-Lakes Church extends a invitation to Rappel this cave

with them.  Wow! What a invitation.  We met up at Tri-Lakes Church then drove out to Talking Rocks Cave.  It was bring your own

cook your own or go hungry so we ate what we brought.  A walk through the gift shop was loaded with all kinds of gems and rocks and neat items of interest.  Then the last cave tour was being held and the owner of the Talking Rocks Cave gave us training and refreshing on Rappelling gear and techniques.  Then at 7:00 p.m. we went into the cave.  THIS CAVE has more formations in it than any cave I have ever been in. It was awesome. 

We had two ropes going.  The owner and one of his associates would hook up each person and they would rappel down about 70 feet through the cave.  In some places passing inches from formations.  We had a great time.  Boys went rappelling first then the Leaders.  I was one of the last to go and I did the tougher rope.  It was good to be in that harness and lowering through that cave.

Some of these boys went down upside down.  Some of these leaders did to..but I don't think it was intentional. GRIN!  The young guy in the RR uniform.  He was being belayed by a 99 pound boy who could stop him in his decent in a second with the tug on the rope.
